This post is all about Korean essences.
In the realm of skincare, a Korean essence refers to a crucial step in the Korean skincare routine. Essences are lightweight, hydrating formulations designed to be applied after cleansing and before serums or moisturizers. They typically contain active ingredients that promote hydration, improve skin texture, and address specific concerns like brightening, anti-aging, or soothing.
Korean skincare routines often prioritize multiple layers of hydration, and essences play a key role in providing that initial burst of moisture. They are known for their watery consistency and are absorbed quickly into the skin, preparing it to better absorb subsequent skincare products.
Korean beauty brands have introduced a wide variety of essences with different ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, snail mucin, fermented extracts and and botanical extracts. These formulations aim to nourish and rejuvenate the skin, contributing to the renowned Korean skincare approach focused on achieving a healthy, radiant complexion.
Essences also help to build skin moisture barrier, thus protecting against moisture loss throughout the day. Adding more moisture to the skin at an early age helps to keep it healthy, young and plump longer.
Here you’l find the best Korean essences to incorporate in your daily beauty routine!
