This post is all about body skin care routine.
Body is often neglected when it comes to skin care. However, in order to have beautiful skin, everything that you’re doing for your face you shoud bring on for the body as well.
People are more and more interested in effective body skincare products that provide intense moisture, anti-aging benefits and target other specific concerns. 2023 is expected to be the year of this trend, and we can expect more and more brands launching body care products such as body serums, body masks, products that contain retinol, etc. In general we’ll be looking for the same ingredients in body skincare products as we see in facial skincare.

1. Vitamin C
Vitamin C has so many benefits when it comes to skincare. First, it neutralizes the free radicals that cause oxidative stress and damage skin cells (including the ones responsible for the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid). Second, it is essential for synthesis of collagen in skin cells. (SOURCE)
Tree Hut Sugar Body Scrub with Vitamin C – exfoliating and moisturizing body scrub with anti-aging properties. Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, ant it also promotes the production of new skin cells.
What people are saying:
“Leaves my skin very soft.”
“My favorite scrub. Great consistency and the oil moisturizes great.”
“The scent is amazing.”
2. Retinol
Retinol increases skin cell production (proliferation). It also increases collagen production, which plumps the skin and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. (SOURCE)

What people are saying:

“It helped with evening the skin tone and improving the texture. My skin seemed to be losing elasticity and appearing older. I feel amazing now.”
3. AHA/BHA
Our skin naturally exfoliates dead cells every day, but over time this process slows and may stop altogether. This results in rough, dry skin; clogged pores; uneven skin tone; wrinkles and loss of firmness.
AHA and BHA exfoliants (alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydroxy acid) both work to gently remove dead skin on the surface by breaking the bonds holding them. This helps reveal the smooth, soft and hydrated skin hiding underneath. (SOURCE)
Paula’s Choice Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA – lightweight body cream that softens rough skin, exfoliates and hydrates at the same time.

4. Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is the main ingredient you shoud be looking into if you have dry skin.
Hyaluronic acid attracts and binds to water molecules and increases the water content of the skin. Over time, our bodies’ stores of hyaluronic acid decline. However, topical products that feature hyaluronic acid can help rebuild those stores. (SOURCE)
Just as we use facial skin care products with Hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin, the same should be applied to our body skin care routine.

(SOURCE) This powerful ingredient is becoming more and more popular in skin care. Famous brands like Paula’s Choice, The Ordinary, etc. have launched facial products that contain Niacinamide that help achieve smoother, more radiant skin and strengthen the skin barrier.
