Hands show the first signs of aging, so it’s super important to incorporate a regular hand care routine into your lifestyle as soon as possible.
We tend to take care of our face skin, and forget about other areas such as the neck, décolleté, and hands. And with time, it starts to show.
If you want to have beautiful and youthful hands, it’s not enough to use hand soap and hand cream. Ideally, you should give your hands as much attention as to your face.
In this post, I’ll show you exactly how your full hand care routine should look like to have young, soft, and beautiful hands.

1. Hand Wash
Hand washing is a necessary part of the daily hand care routine.
However, we wash our hands so many times during the day, that the ordinary soap can make them get dry very fast.
It’s always the best idea to choose a natural or organic quality hand wash without harsh chemicals.
2. Exfoliating Hand Care Treatment
Use a gentle exfoliator 1-2 times per week to remove dead cells and rough texture on your hands, thus allowing the upcoming hand care products to penetrate deeper and to work thoroughly.
3. Serum
You should also incorporate a serum in your hand care routine because serum and a moisturizer work in different layers of the skin.
Beauty specialists recommend applying face serums, moisturizers, and face masks on the neck and décolleté the same way as to the face, so why not include it in your hand care routine?
The skin on the hands is thin enough, so it’s always a good idea to take care of it.
Did you know that there are such procedures as hand mesotherapy available in beauty clinics?
If you take care of your hands properly and regularly, you won’t need to think about these expensive procedures anytime soon!
4. Hand Mask
There are many super great hand masks available in the market that are very comfortable to use.
You simply have to put on gloves that come in the package, soaked in a special essence or cream, and leave them for about 20 minutes.
5. Hand Cream
It’s very important to keep your hands always moisturized. Hands age just as fast as the face, and if the skin is dehydrated, it will start to age faster.
It is always best to choose a good moisturizing hand cream with vitamins and anti-aging properties.
6. Sleeping Mask
As I said earlier, I believe that we should implement some of the products that we use on our faces on our hands as well.
The products that we use on our face have more properties, vitamins, antioxidants (depending on each product), and as it comes to our body skincare, we often tend to neglect it and choose very basic products.
It doesn’t hurt to apply the same serum or cream that we use for our face on our hands sometimes. It actually helps a lot!
Especially when there are so many great products, like serums and sleeping masks!
And this sleeping mask is amazing because it boosts collagen production.
7. Protect Your Hands
Wear gloves every time you wash dishes or do any other household chore, that requires using any kind of chemicals or hot water.
Hot water is not good for your hands. As you know, hot water rinses away oil and grease from dishes more easily. The same way hot water removes natural oils on your skin. Natural oils are necessary because they form a skin barrier and keep the skin soft and supple.
Gloves allow you to wash your dishes in hot water and keep your hands protected. Moreover, they will protect your hands from chemicals found in dish soap and other cleaning products. These chemicals strip away your skin’s natural oil barrier making them dry and eventually causing the skin to age faster.
Just think about how many times per day you wash dishes, and how often you clean the house. If you do this without wearing gloves, it will start showing signs in a few years. Avoid this by getting a few pairs of gloves today!
